The Great Escape


A few people have asked about the image in the header, so here the deal:

It came up in a Google Images search for Antonio Gaudi art in Barcelona.

Since the posted chapter, WTCELONA, is partially set in that most amazing of cities, where I, like so many others, popped a serious hard one for the entire Gaudi thang, I wanted to include something of his.

When I found this image, I was sort of shocked to find that he'd worked in a traditional religious art style, too... did I know that while there? don't think so - anyway, tweaking it in Photoshop, it began to look less like Jesus resurrecting and more like your everyday obscure religious figure trying to escape, working perfectly with my book's title, "The Mean Little Children of God".
